MG got a really good checkup today!
Weight: 20.11 (just under 50%)
Height: 30" (75%)
Head: 17" (70%)
She said everything looks great. She's a little tongue-tied, but she wants us to ask the ENT tomorrow when we go for her tubes checkup what he thinks. She doesn't think it's bad enough to do anything about it! Yay!
Her eye that was turning is has started correcting itself. She said that's really normal, especially in preemies. It rarely turns in at all anymore!
She should be saying 1-3 consistent words. She's got dede (dada) down, but that's about all she'll say consistently! We're really going to work on mama.
Of course MG sat there like she didn't know anything during her checkup! ha! She wouldn't even wave bye-bye. Her ped. probably thought I was a big fat liar!
Her Hemoglobin was 11.6-perfect! She's not anemic. That's really good news because in the NICU she was running a little low and had to take those nasty iron supplements.
She was a pro with her shots. They did the finger stick and she didn't even flinch. She watched the entire time and never let out a peep. But when they gave her the 2 shots she lost it! Luckily it only lasted a minute and as soon as the nurse left the room she was fine!
I love a good checkup! We celebrated with a nice long nap in the recliner together!
