Sick Day

I stayed home with MG today. The minor staph breakout she had in her diaper area got a little worse. She ended up with a big, hard knot on her booty last night. I called the on-call nurse and she said to be seen today. Luckily, we caught it so early and it wasn't as deep at the ped. had feard. They didn't have to lance it, they just popped and drained it. It was awful, though! MG screamed and cried. Even after it was over and I was holding her, she would scream if the ped tried ot talk to her! She doesn't forgive or forget very easily! We went home with the strongest antibiotic and instructions to let her soak in a warm, soapy tub as long as she will stay. Of course if we let her stay as long as she wanted, she'd be in there all night!

I hated the circumstances, but it was nice to be home with my girl all day! She got a new baby doll when we went to pick up her prescription. I figured she deserved it! We took a quick cat-nap this morning and a nice, long nap this afternoon! Today made me ready for my summer off with her!
